Assisting the Greater Washington Partnership in the evaluation of the digital tech talent in the Greater Washington region and suitability for cybersecurity and digital technology based business growth. Thereby providing a baseline for evaluating subsequent skill development and workforce training programs to match up with local employment opportunities.
Using the resources of the Amplifier Network to create and operate the Tandem Product Academy a technology product business acceleration program, combining MBA level content with entrepreneurial perspectives, delivered to cohorts of technology businesses looking to grow.
Creating and operating Tandem National Security Innovations, a public private partnership between Amplifier Advisors and the Commonwealth of Virginia. Tandem National Security Innovations is a national network to connect national security agencies of the US government with innovators and entrepreneurs not currently engaged with the national security establishment and provide entrepreneurial skill development opportunities for participating companies.
Identifying and investigating the process of technology identification and commercialization for the United States Department of Defense, and providing recommendations and a roadmap for accelerating successful commercialization of federally funded technology research and development out of United States government labs. Many of the recommendations in the report are now regularly adopted as “best practices” for fostering successful technology transfer.
Creating and executing a long term innovation process and cultural change program for Volunteers of America, one of the largest and longest established not-for-profits in the United States. Training employees, gathering resources and creating innovation pilot programs to identify profit making opportunities, as well as service improvement and fund raising innovations.
Assisting the Army REF in evaluating the applicability of additive manufacturing to logistics and battlefield readiness, and identifying business models and intellectual property approaches to facilitate entrepreneurial engagement.
Assisting the Defense Advanced Projects Research Agency and George Mason University in the creation and execution of Innovation House a residential innovation program that brought scientists and atypical sources of expertise into a residential program, and provided business mentorship and analysis to participants.
Providing Montgomery County Economic Development Corporation with a comprehensive analysis of the Greater Washington region’s cybersecurity industry and developing a comprehensive plan for Montgomery County to develop a successful ecosystem to support cybersecurity business startup and growth through the development of comprehensive investment, training and business assistance programs.
Researching and releasing for public use a comprehensive and first of its kind census of the cybersecurity industry in the Greater Washington region.
